Meet the Maker

Growing up in the cowboy and leather culture of Sheridan, Wyoming Ross Brunk apprenticed at the Custom Cowboy Shop. Working there for Don and Kitty Butler he quickly learned craftsmanship as well as the finer points of quality leather work.

The goal Northern Range Cowboy Gear is to offer a wide range of the highest quality horse gear that is designed with both the horse and rider in mind. In all of Ross's work, his endeavor is to make each part that isn’t seen as smooth as the make the parts that are visible. Each knife stroke smoother than the last, and each piece better than the one before. Ross believes that this is the only way for a person to get better at anything that they pursue.
