At Northern Range Cowboy Gear, we believe a saddle should be an extension of the rider and a perfect fit for the horse. This commitment is why every saddle we build is fully custom, hand-crafted specifically for you and your working needs.

The Custom Order Process

Consultation is Key: Your journey begins with a conversation. Please contact us directly via phone or email to discuss your riding discipline (Ranch Work, Roping, Trail), your preferred model (e.g., Powder River Roper, Vermilion), and, most importantly, the exact specifications required for your horse’s comfort and fit. We will confirm your seat size, leather choice, rigging, and tooling details.

Pricing & Deposit: The base price for our custom saddles is {6,500.00} USD, though the final price will vary based on customization complexity (tooling, specialized hardware, etc.). A non-refundable deposit of 1/4 the total build price is required to secure your spot in our build queue and begin sourcing materials.

Lead Time: Due to the meticulous, hand-made nature of our saddles, our current estimated delivery time is {8-15} months from the date your deposit is received. We appreciate your patience; quality leatherwork cannot be rushed.

Final Payment: You will be contacted once your saddle enters the final stages of completion. The remaining balance, plus shipping costs, is due before the saddle is shipped.
